To show the streamflows and streamflow concentration of South Africa.
Data covers the period 2007/01/01 - 2007/12/31.
Dataset contains: area, perimeter, water catchment number, primary, secondary and tertiary streamflow, area in square kilometers and streamflow concentration. Periods of high streamflows are defined as the 3 consecutive months with the highest cumulative median streamflows at the outflow point of a Quaternary Catchment (QC).
Satellite imagery and monitoring data. Streamflow concentration is based on the percentage of mean annual flow which is made up of the highest 3 month cumulative streamflow in a QC (including upstream contributions), with a low percentage indicative of a spread of streamflow and vice-versa.
