To assess the surface water extent around Chimuara city, Zambezia province, Mozambique.
A relative stability of surface water extent was observed in the 05 February 2017 image compared to the 11 December 2014 image. It is likely that flood waters have been systematically underestimated along highly vegetated areas along main river banks and within built-up urban areas because of the special characteristics of the satellite data used.
Dataset entails village, settlement, highway/primary road, secondary road, river, district boundary, province boundary, reference waters, satellite detected waters: 05 February 2017 and satellite detected waters: 11 December 2014.
