To map out water extent in South Africa.

Context

Within the cloud free analyzed areas of about 630,000 km2, a total of about 30,200 km2 of lands appear to be affected with flood waters.

What is included

This dataset entails province, total population, analyzed area (km2), population potentially exposed to maximum flood extent [11-15 Feb 2022], maximum floodwater extent [11-15 Feb 2022] (km2), and water extent variation between 4-8 Feb 2022 & 11-15 Feb 2022(km2)
