To assess the extent of surface water in Burkina faso.
Based on Worldpop population data and the detected surface waters, about 13,000 people are potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.
Dataset contains department boundary, satellite detected water [13 September 2020], reference water, secondary road, town, airport in km, village, primary road, railway and satellite detected water [23 July 2020].
