Dataset Objective

To show the water bodies available in Africa.

Context

This data is collected by the World Bank and curated from the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD).

What is included

The dataset contains names of water bodies (lakes, reservoirs and lagoons), their names, type of water body, the area covered in square kilometers, field id, shape length and shape area in Africa.

Collection Methods

This dataset was collected through satellite images.
