To show the relationship between land surface temperature and vegetation.
Data covers the period of March 2000-October 2021.
Warmest temperature places shown in pale yellow, coldest temperatures in dark blue, moderate temperatures are depicted in shades of pink and purple, regions where land surface temperature measurements were not possible are gray, foliage dense plants represented in dark green and low vegetation areas shown in tan.
Measurements are taken by Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite.
