Context

This dataset shows generation, treatment and discharges of wastewater, by source and in terms of volumes and of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD).

What is included

Data entails industrial wastewater, urban wastewater, direct discharges, generation of wastewater, wastewater sources and agricultural wastewater. Note: only certain countries are available (check the data)

Collection Methods

Monitoring and survey - Data source(s): Joint OECD/Eurostat questionnaire on Inland Waters. Data for non-OECD countries is sourced from UNSD (Country Files from the UNSD/UNEP data collection on environment statistics
