Dataset Objective

To provide data on the quality of wastewater effluents based on the terms of Effluent Compliance in South Africa.

Context

Data covers the period 2013-2018.

What is included

Dataset contains: municipality, chemical compliance, microbiological compliance, monitoring compliance and physical/organoleptic compliance. Wastewater quality compliance is categorized as: critical, bad, fair, good and xls (or xlsx)lent.

Collection Methods

Water quality tests and monitoring. Effluent Compliance is calculated based on the actual samples taken and tests conducted on determinants. Monitoring Compliance is calculated based on number of tests done versus number of tests required per determinant.
