Data contains areas equipped for irrigation by source of water and the actual irrigated areas. Other information includes sub-national data on the source of water for irrigation such as surface water, non-conventional water and ground water.
Data collected using FAO-AQUASTAT questionaire on water and agriculture dispatched to AQUASTAT national correspondents.
