To understand the nature of small-scale private irrigation systems in Nigeria.
The survey was conducted by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
This dataset consists of irrigation activities, plot information, irrigation equipment/sources, inputs uses and outputs, irrigation adoption history, and household characteristics. The dataset consists of 178 farmers who irrigated at least one of their plots in the 2017 season to grow rice, maize, pepper, or okra.
Data was collected through farmers' households surveys. The unit of analysis was household and individual. The survey instrument was a structured questionnaire, and the mode was an in-person interview.
