The project was re-scoped in 2009 as costs were greater than the estimated budget and provided 4,942 irrigable hectares instead of 16,000.
The project investigated road upgrade, water conveyance systems, irrigation infrastructure, social infrastructure and services to residents and farmers, improved land tenure security, improved agricultural farming techniques, and improved access to financial services.
