Dataset Objective

To provide soil and water quality data for three Africa RISING communities (Nyangua, Duko and Bonia).

Context

The data can be used to inform watershed management policies (to protect water sources, limit pollution) or assess if water sources are suitable for irrigation, livestock use, or human consumption.

What is included

Data contains the water quality conten (pH Units),Cond. (uS/cm), K (mg/l),Na (mg/l), Ca (mg/l), Mg (mg/l) F (mg/l), Fe (mg/l), Al (mg/l)) in selected wells and small reservoirs from the three rising African communities. Data also entails soil quality indicators (texture, vegetation, crop type, electricity conductivity and available nutrients).

Data was collected using experimental studies.
