Dataset Objective

To assess the functionality and performance of hand pump boreholes in Ethiopia, Uganda and Malawi.

Context

The project was jointly funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), as part of the UPGro program (Unlocking the Potential of Groundwater for the Poor).

What is included

Data contains the functionality status and locations of the 600 surveyed handpump boreholes.

Data was collected using sample survey.
