To map out indigenous people who have access to piped water services in 13 countries of the Latin America and Caribbean region.
Data covers the period 2001-2012. Data is part of World Bank Group (2016), Water and sanitation services project.
Data consists of: country, percentage of the indigenous population who have access to piped water services, percentage of the non-indigenous population who have access to piped water services and percentage of indigenous people out of total population in 2010. Indigenous access to piped water is classified as: very low, low, medium low, medium, high and country not survey. Indigenous peoples are 10 to 25 percent less likely to have access to piped water than the region of non-indigenous populations.
Data derived from the most recent census carried out between 2001 and 2012.
