To provide data on groundwater quality in transboundary aquifers.
Data is based on the framework of the Transboundary Waters Assessment Programme (TWAP), initiated by the Global Environment Facility.
Dataset consists of the percentage of the transboundary aquifer area where groundwater natural quality satisfies local drinking water standards. Natural water quality is categorized as: low, very low, medium, high and very high.
Data is obtained through survey and monitoring.
