To assess and map out the global lake water temperature.
The retrieved temperatures have been bias-adjusted for consistency between sensors using overlap periods. The data represent current state-of-the-art for LSWT record production.
Dataset contain: lake id, lake location, quality level of LSWT, lake surface water temperature, coverage duration and uncertainty in the LSWT at each location.
Satellite data from the Along Track Scanning Radiometer (ATSR) and Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) sensors.
