Dataset Objective

To show the change in the extent of lake water-related ecosystems over time (the amount of biological productivity)

Context

This dataset covers the period of 2017 to 2019. This dataset is part of the Global SDG Indicator database compiled through the UN System in preparation for the Secretary-General's annual report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

What is included

Data contains the global locations, countries, regions, earliest and latest available years and the estimated percentage of lake water quality for different years.

Collection Methods

Data was collected using water quality monitoring and remote sensing.
