To provide socioeconomic data that can assist in policy making to improve the general health, economic activities, education and housing utilities.
This panel survey was the first part of the intended 5 surveys over the next 15-21 years. This survey is planned to be conducted every 3 years.
Parameters on demographic composition, household assets, agriculture, housing characteristics (water, waste disposal, living conditions etc.), consumption module, Social Network, health conditions, children module and fam-holds.
The data was collected using panel survey. A two-staged stratified sample design was incorporated with the first stage involving selection of geographical clusters from the 2000 Ghana Population and Housing Census and the second stage was selection of simple random samples of 15 from the identified clusters.
