To evaluate the Etosha National Park (ENP) Activity, which aimed to reform the management and governance of ENP by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and improve ENP's infrastructure.
MCC’s $257 million Namibia Compact (2009-2014) funded improvements in tourism infrastructure and management and the marketing of Namibia as a tourist destination through two activities under the $69 million Tourism Project.
The dataset contains trends in the number of guests or visitors and the revenue from tourists before and after the Tourism Project, perceptions of the Project's contribution to tourism businesses, Tourism Routes established under the Project, employment trends and more.
Data was collected through online surveys, key informant interviews (KIIs), and focus group discussions (FGDs) supplemented by secondary data from the tourism records.
