It is “Pre-SWOT,” meaning it is based on methods and data available before the SWOT (Surface Water and Ocean Topography) mission (launched Dec 2022) came online.
The dataset contains global hydrologic changes of lakes and reservoirs' surface water estimates.
This dataset was collected using satellite imagery and multi-mission satellite radar altimetry.
