To estimate annual economical exposition to floods.
Data covers the period 1999-2010.
Dataset consists of: magnitude of floods, flood events, flood frequency, population, global domestic product and gross domestic product. Other hazards consist of: cyclone surge, cyclone wind, drought, earthquakes, fires, flood, landslides, tsunamis, volcanoes andmultiple hazards
Data is obtained through simulation and modelling of global datasets such as: Observed flood from 1999 to 2007, obtained from the Dartmouth Flood Observatory (DFO), frequency from UNEP/GRID-Europe PREVIEW flood dataset, Global Domestic Product grid for the year 2010, provided by the World Bank and GIS modeling using a statistical estimation of peak-flow magnitude and a hydrological model using HydroSHEDS dataset.
