Dataset Objective

To provide information on the total mangroves area gained in square kilometers across different regions.

What is included

This dataset contains the global locations, geographic area name and code, parent geographic area name, geographic area type, earliest and latest years, available years, and the mangrove areas gain in square kilometers between 2000-2016 for different regions.

Collection Methods

Data was collected using satellite images.
