Explore and identify the factors (correlates) associated with access to hand hygiene resources in Ghanaian households, utilizing data from the 2014 Demographic and Health Survey.
The study context is particularly relevant in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it underscores the ongoing challenges in ensuring access to hand hygiene resources, especially in developing countries like Ghana.
Tables: Summary statistics of hand-washing study variables including preparedness/facilities, sex, age, education, marital status, distance to water source, wealth, region, and place (urban/rural). Prevalence and adjusted prevalence ratios of correlates of a household's access to hand hygiene resources for all variables above (preparedness, sex, age, etc).
Using cross-sectional 2014 Ghana Demographic and Health Surveys dataset. Data analysis is conducted using STATA-14, employing complex samples analysis techniques to adjust for sample units, stratification, and sample weights. The methodology includes a multivariate robust Poisson regression model.
