The objective of this research is to document and address the challenges related to handpump functionality, corrosion, component quality, and supply chains in sub-Saharan Africa. It aims to provide insights into the factors contributing to poor handpump performance and water quality and to propose actions to mitigate these issues.
The research addresses the challenges faced in sub-Saharan Africa related to handpump functionality, corrosion, and component quality, which contribute to poor water supply reliability and quality. It aims to identify solutions to improve handpump performance and prolong their lifespan to ensure access to safe and reliable water sources.
