The objective of this research is to monitor and assess the accessibility, availability, and quality of drinking water services at regional and global levels from 2015 to 2022, with a focus on achieving universal access to safe drinking water as outlined in SDG target 6.1.
The research aims to address the global challenge of ensuring access to safe drinking water for all, as outlined in SDG Goal 6. It utilizes established methodologies and collaborates with international organizations to collect and analyze data on drinking water services worldwide.

The research employs a variety of methodologies, including household surveys, censuses, administrative data sources, and collaboration with international survey programs such as the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). It also integrates water quality testing into household surveys and draws on regulatory data from organizations like the European Union and the World Bank.
