To show the flood projections and probability of occurrence in 100 years return period in Karonga district in Malawi.
Data was generated as part of the Northern region and Lake Malawi Flood risk management project by RASOR for Global Facility for Disaster Risk reduction and the government of Malawi.
Data contains the probability of flood events occurring expressed as a 100 years return period along with water depth. The Rapid Analysis and Spatialization of Risk (RASOR) water depths are categorized as: No data, 0m, 0.4m, 0.8m, 1.2m, 1.6m, 2m, 2.4m, 2.8m, 3.2m, 3.6m and 4m
Data was collected using very high-resolution optical and radar satellite images and modeling.
