To assess the relationship between sachet water quality, brand registration, and neighborhood deprivation in Accra, Ghana, by analyzing water quality, packaging, and brand registration details.
It aims to identify potential health risks associated with sachet water consumption and the effectiveness of regulatory measures. The data supports research into the impact of socioeconomic factors on water quality and access to safe drinking water.
Results from a cross-sectional study of 118 sachet water samples collected from 66 vendors in four Enumeration Areas in Accra, Ghana. It covers water quality testing for faecal indicator bacteria and selected physio-chemical parameters, packaging details, and brand and manufacturer information cross-referenced with regulatory records.
