Dataset Objective

To show the forest timber licensed locations and boundaries permitted for selective logging.

Context

The data was created as part to map out registered and permitted logging concessions areas in Republic of Congo and for the Forest Atlas of Congo.

What is included

The dataset includes logging areas in the Republic of Congo with registered names, official locations, shape length, length area, individual names of the owners/company, permitted dates, and other essential identity information.

Collection Methods

This data was collected from the Republic of the Congo Ministry of Forest Economy and by use of satellite imagery.
