The study examines the interaction between water quality and human health, focusing on identifying and understanding the risk factors for waterborne diseases among residents near the Tano River Basin, Ghana

What is included

A downloadable PDF file with tables describing; respondents' demographic characteristics, access to water and sanitation, sanitation facilities and practices in the study communities, respondents' reasons for the preferred toilet facility and practices, and household waste management method and practice. The file also includes figures describing common illnesses experienced by respondents and a flood susceptibility map.

Collection Methods

Household surveys of 5 chosen communities were conducted in April and May 2023 and a sample size of 400 households was estimated for the survey. For flood assessment; the USGS, SRTM, and TAMSAT satellite data was used
