To assess the rate of primary forest loss in Indonesia.
For this study, forest is defined as tree cover with a minimum height of 5 meters and canopy cover density of at least 30 percent at the Landsat pixel scale.
Study investigated intact primary forests, degraded primary forest, land forms, terra-firma lowland, wetland, primary forest extent and loss upland and montane forests.
