Data covers the period March 2000-August 2016.
High rainfall totals represented in dark blue, small rainfall totals shown in white, high foliage represented in dark green, low vegetation index, shown in tan and areas where the satellite did not collect data are gray.
Total rainfall recorded by NASA’s Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite and vegetation index based on measurements taken by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite.
