Dataset Objective

To provide baseline data for land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) sector.

Context

This data was collected to support the Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA country) teams in developing and implementing land cover mapping efforts for the Agriculture, Forestry and Land Use (AFOLU) sector.

What is included

Data contains the forestlands, grasslands, croplands, wetlands, settlements and other land covers.

Collection Methods

Data was collected using satellite images through Landsat Thematic Mapper (Landsat 5) data using the supervised classification method.
