Dataset Objective

To understand land-use changes and effects on the ecosystem and human beings in rural poor in Mozambique.

Context

This dataset was collected as part of the Ecosystem Services for Poverty Alleviation (ESPA) funded ACES project.

What is included

Dataset contains the tree species, local names, uses collected from 17 villages in 3 districts (Mabalane, Marrupa and Gurue) found in Gaza, Niassa and Zambezia provinces respectively.

Collection Methods

The data was collected through key informant interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), village sample surveys and ad-hoc observations.
