To represent high-granularity (~100m gridded) population estimates for the country of Kenya.

World Pop population estimates.

What is included

GeoTIFF files of 3 arc-second gridpoint resolution population estimates. There is a file for total population, and a second file broken down into census age and sex-group categories (in 5 year bins to age 80).

Collection Methods

Population methods are based on analysis of satellite imagery reconciled to most recent census data. Age/gender breakdowns are derived from US-based sub-country census data. See available metadata for further methods description (https://wopr.worldpop.org/download/541)
