Dataset Objective

To guide sustainable solid waste management in Kenya to ensure a healthy, safe and secure environment for all.

Context

These data were collected in service of Kenya's National Waste Management Strategy's zero waste principle, whereby waste is a resource that can be harnessed to create wealth, employment and reduce pollution of the environment.

What is included

A csv file and report showing estimated waste generated (tons/day), waste collected, waste recovery, uncollected waste in Nairobi, Kisumu, Thika, Nakuru, Mombasa, and Eldoret
