To assess the coastal sites that are at risk to inundation as a consequence of sea level rise.
This data set provides results for 613 sites with defined boundaries that were found to intersect with the 0-5m above mean sea level coastal zone, defined by NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) elevation data.
This dataset entails continent name, wetlands site, documented area (ha), GIS area (hectares), marine coastal status, minimum and maximum elevation (meters), the area below sea level (sq. km), area flooded by 1-meter sea-level rise (sq. km), urban extent within sea, maximum population density, and average infant mortality rate within the site boundary.
