To assess the quality of services and trends in service utilization, availability of medical equipment and drugs, infrastructure conditions and essential service utilities like water, electricity, toilets and telephones, and to assess the compliance level with health care management and infection prevention and control standards.
This dataset was collected as a baseline for informing the Health Project performance indicators on health facilities.
Data entails information on medicine availability (whether the patients received the medicine prescribed or not), toilet conditions and availability in the health facilities, service delivery (how long one waited before receiving a service), consultation cost, number of times the clients visited the facility, level of service satisfaction (satisfied how the nurse handled the case, satisfaction with treatment), among other indicators.
Data was collected using sampled survey from 138 Health Centers and 14 Hospital Out-patient Departments. The sampling units were individual (health staff or client) and health facility.
