Dataset Objective

To provide data on coastal aquifers in the Mediterranean.

Context

Data was collected within the framework of GEF and funded by UNEP/MAP Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (MedPartnership) project.

What is included

Dataset consists of: country, name, type, description, aquifer name, aquifer country, population, coastal boundaries and data information. Coastal aquifers are classified as: karstic, porous, alternating marl and sandstone layers.

Satellite imagery and monitoring.
