To provide baseline information for evaluating the impact of the rehabilitation of 138 health centers via the provision of power, water, telecommunications equipment, medical equipment, instruments, and clinical furniture.
MCC’s $358 million Lesotho Compact (2008-2013) funded the $92 million Health Centers Activity and $13 million Anti-Retroviral Therapy Clinics Activity, which both aimed to increase access to life-extending anti-retroviral therapy and essential health services by constructing or rehabilitating primary service delivery infrastructure and providing a sustainable delivery platform.
The dataset contains the patient exit questionnaire details (basic demographic information, details of their travel and expenses to reach the clinic, and their opinion on the facility's amenities and quality of service), health facility staff data (basic demographic information, rating of their working and living conditions, the quality of the services offered and overall physical state of health facilities), the number of adult and child patients of each sex who visited the clinic and administrative records of patients undergoing anti-retroviral treatments for HIV.
Data was collected using sample client exit and staff surveys and from administrative records.
