Dataset Objective

To map out estuaries along the coastline of South Africa.

Dataset entails: 299 estuarine systems, shape length, shape area in hectares, perimeter, name of the estuary and the type i.e. floodplain.

Each the floodplain areas were digitized using Spot 5 imagery (2008) and Google Earth.
