Dataset
To provide borehole repair and operational data from central Uganda to support groundwater management, borehole functionality research, and rural water supply planning
The dataset examines borehole repair data collected from two districts in central Uganda where a borehole operation and maintenance program is implemented. The project was developed within the openwashdata initiative to support research on professional operation and maintenance approaches for improving borehole functionality in Uganda.
The dataset contains 171 borehole repair records with 10 variables related to borehole operation and maintenance. Variables include community, parish, sub-county, borehole source identification number, repair date, population served, well depth, static water depth, pump installation depth, and borehole yield measurements
The data were collected through borehole repair and maintenance activities conducted by a borehole operation and maintenance company working in central Uganda. Borehole operational characteristics and repair-related information were compiled into a structured dataset for analysis and research.
