Dataset
To provide data on wastewater management and household sanitation infrastructure in Brazil to support sanitation research, infrastructure assessment, and environmental health analysis
The dataset was developed through the openwashdata initiative to support the analysis of household water supply and wastewater management conditions in Brazil. It enables researchers and practitioners to explore patterns in water source use, sanitation infrastructure, and wastewater disposal practices across a large number of households and geographic areas.
The dataset contains 192,896 observations and 33 variables describing household water sources and wastewater management conditions in Brazil. Variables include household water supply sources, wastewater disposal methods, sanitation infrastructure characteristics, housing conditions, and geographic information. The dataset can be used to analyze the distribution of water sources across Brazil and examine patterns in household wastewater management and sanitation services.
The dataset was compiled from household-level records on water sources, wastewater disposal, sanitation infrastructure, and housing characteristics in Brazil.
