To provide borehole pumping test data for assessing hydrogeological dynamics, aquifer properties, and borehole productivity in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions of Ghana.
The dataset contains borehole data collected to study hydrogeological dynamics in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions of Ghana. It was developed to support the assessment of groundwater resources and key hydrogeological parameters that influence borehole performance and aquifer productivity.
The dataset hydrogeologicalghana contains 12 observations and 10 variables. It includes pumping test measurements from boreholes and variables describing measurement date, region, community, borehole depth, static water level, pumping rate, drawdown, specific capacity, transmissivity, and aquifer material. These variables support analysis of borehole productivity, groundwater availability, aquifer characteristics, and hydrogeological performance in the study areas.
The data were collected through systematic pumping tests conducted at boreholes in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions of Ghana. The pumping tests were designed to assess key hydrogeological parameters, particularly pumping rates and drawdown, which were subsequently used to derive indicators such as specific capacity and transmissivity.
