Dataset
To provide public access to environmental geospatial datasets, maps, and spatial services that support environmental management and natural resource conservation
The Environment Collection is part of the Florida Geospatial Open Data Portal, a statewide platform that enables users to discover, visualize, analyze, and download authoritative geospatial information from Florida government agencies and partner organizations.
The collection provides access to a broad range of environmental geospatial resources, including datasets related to surface water and groundwater resources, wetlands, watersheds, hydrography, environmental quality, conservation lands, protected areas, ecosystems, habitat management, land cover, coastal resources, natural resource management, and environmental monitoring.
Datasets are compiled and maintained by Florida state agencies, environmental programs, water management districts, and other governmental partners. Data are generated through environmental monitoring programs, field surveys, remote sensing, mapping initiatives, hydrological assessments, ecological studies, regulatory activities, and administrative records. The information is standardized and published through the Florida Geospatial Open Data Portal, allowing users to search, visualize, analyze, and download data in multiple GIS-compatible formats.
