The collection contains geospatial datasets and mapping resources related to natural hazards and disaster management. Resources include flood hazard areas (DFIRM), flood insurance rate map panels, tsunami hazard zones, volcano lava flow hazard zones, coastal hazard information, and other hazard-related GIS layers.
Datasets are developed and maintained by federal, state, and local agencies through hazard assessments, flood mapping programs, geological surveys, environmental monitoring, risk modeling, remote sensing, and GIS analysis. Data are compiled and published through the Hawaii Statewide GIS Program Geoportal and made available for visualization and download.
