To provide public access to geospatial datasets and environmental information that support water resource management and environmental planning
The St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) Geospatial Open Data Portal is the District's official ArcGIS Hub platform for distributing GIS datasets and web services. The portal enables public agencies, researchers, consultants, and the general public to discover, visualize, and download geospatial information supporting the District's responsibilities under Florida's Water Resources Act (Chapter 373, Florida Statutes).
The portal organizes geospatial datasets into eight primary categories: Boundaries, Elevation, Environmental, Hydrography, Land Resources, Land Use/Land Cover, Permitting, and Water Supply. These categories provide downloadable GIS datasets and web services related to administrative and jurisdictional boundaries, elevation and terrain, environmental resources, rivers, streams, lakes and other hydrographic features, land resources, land use and land cover, water-resource permitting, and water supply management. The portal allows users to search, visualize, and download geospatial information for mapping
Datasets are developed and maintained through hydrologic monitoring programs, groundwater investigations, water quality monitoring, GIS mapping, remote sensing, engineering surveys, LiDAR acquisition, environmental restoration projects, field data collection, and collaborations with local, state, and federal agencies. The information is standardized and published through the ArcGIS Hub platform as downloadable GIS datasets and web services.
