Data is collected through facility permitting processes, environmental inspections, compliance monitoring activities, mandatory reporting by regulated facilities, contamination investigations, remediation monitoring programs, enforcement reporting, and program oversight activities conducted by division staff. Information is maintained through digital databases, GIS mapping systems, facility inventory systems, permit management systems, online document repositories, and reporting systems that are updated as facilities submit operational reports, inspections occur, contamination incidents are investigated, or remediation activities progress.
