The dataset includes records for all active water and sanitation districts in Colorado currently tracked by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. It contains administrative and geographic information including district identification numbers (lgid), district names (lgname), district type identifiers (lgtypeid), district status identifiers (lgstatusid), source information, mailing addresses, alternative addresses, city and state location details, ZIP codes, website links where available, previous district names, abbreviated district names, and geospatial polygon boundary attributes such as area measurements (SHAPE__Area) and boundary length measurements (SHAPE__Length).
The dataset is created and managed by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs and distributed through the Colorado state GIS infrastructure managed by the Colorado Office of Information Technology. Data is compiled from official state government administrative records for special districts operating within Colorado.
