Dataset
To provide public access to water resources data, geospatial information, interactive maps, and water management information that support water resource monitoring across Idaho.
The platform serves as a centralized repository for public water-related datasets, mapping applications, and geospatial resources that support Idaho’s water governance, hydrological monitoring, and resource management activities.
The portal provides access to public geospatial datasets, interactive mapping applications, downloadable data files, and water resource information systems related to water management in Idaho. Available information includes datasets and mapping resources covering water rights records, groundwater resources, administrative boundaries, irrigated lands mapping, dams and hazard classifications, flood hazard mapping, water district boundaries, water supply bank lease diversions, well monitoring systems, groundwater management areas, small-scale mining stream information, water right location records, geospatial feature services, map services, downloadable zip files, and story maps focused on irrigated land management. The platform also provides access to interactive map applications and downloadable GIS resources for external analysis.
Data is collected through state water management programs, geospatial surveying systems, groundwater and well monitoring networks, water rights administration systems, dam monitoring infrastructure, flood hazard mapping programs, irrigation land assessments, and water district management systems operated by the Idaho Department of Water Resources. Information is integrated into ArcGIS-based geospatial infrastructure where datasets are processed, mapped, updated, and published as open-access GIS services, downloadable datasets, and interactive mapping applications.
