Dataset
To provide public access to geospatial water and hydrology datasets that support water resource monitoring across Kansas.
The portal aggregates water and hydrology-related datasets from state agencies and partners to support scientific research, environmental monitoring, water governance, and infrastructure planning across Kansas.
The portal includes datasets and interactive applications covering a wide range of water-related information, including public water supply systems, rural water districts, reservoirs, dams, groundwater resources, aquifer boundaries, watershed and hydrologic unit boundaries, rivers and hydrography data, wetlands and shoreline monitoring, surface water quality monitoring, impaired water bodies, flood hazard mapping, streambank stabilization projects, and other water infrastructure and environmental management resources across Kansas.
Data is collected through statewide hydrological monitoring networks, groundwater observation wells, stream gaging stations, reservoir monitoring systems, climate monitoring stations, water rights reporting systems, well completion reporting programs, and GIS mapping systems managed by multiple Kansas state agencies and partner organizations.
